Jeff Gehring of SUPODYSSEY having some fun on some junky two foot waves combined with 15 knot onshore winds. Making the most out of some meager waves in Marin County.
Funny video at the end. Pause and check out the last 10 seconds frame by frame to see Avery watching me getting launched off my board with a huge smile!
Another beautiful day in Marin County. Waves were waist high at best and choppy from 15 knot onshore winds, but on a Stand Up Paddleboard I was able to make the most of a junky session. This was the last and longest wave of the day.
More videos of the sunset session in Marin County. Waves 1-2 feet and no wind. Soft take offs and slow lines that occasionally connected for 50 yard rides. Long, slow, and mellow waves, with the occasional dumping section.
Waves were 1-2 feet with an occasional bigger set wave and little to no wind. Beautiful evening with only one other SUP out, my friend Avery, and one surfer. Ideal conditions for the SUP with a soft take off and long mushy waves. The sunset was also providing some beautiful backlit waves. Enjoy!
Small, infrequent waves in Marin county, probably due to an extremely high tide of 7ft. Big swell of 10ft. at 13 seconds. Moderate winds from the east shifting ranging from 2-15 mph. Sunny day with temps around the 60’s.
Jeff Gehring of supodyssey.com stand up paddlesurfing some chest high waves in Northern California. Buoys reading around 9 ft. at 11 seconds and light winds. I think the core workout and proprioceptor workout were more of a challenge than the paddling. Another great day to be in the ocean. More great surf and swells are on their way as we enter into the best time of year for surf in Northern California.
Jeff Gehring of supodyssey.com stand up paddle surfing in Sonoma County with an excessive amount of red tide in the water. Soft but fun head high waves at a high tide of 5 ft. Swell was wsw 4 ft. at about 12 seconds. Warm fall weather with light wind. I also broke the mount for my go pro camera!!! Surfed for about 3 hours and felt every minute after. Breathing was difficult because of the red tide, so bad I almost threw up after the session.
