Stand up paddleboard surfing

Another great day of stand up paddleboard surfing in beautiful Marin County.  Thick fog made created a mystery as to the wave quality, while standing from shore.  As they say when in doubt paddle out, and I am glad I did.  Waves were a bit on the soft and mushy side, but the second or third wave of the sets had some juice.  The first waves of the set would push some of the water away and add some steepness to the following waves.  Got a great workout and had the place to myself for over an hour and was then accompanied by two surfers and Jon, another stand up paddleboarder. We shared some waves for a while and after 2.5 hours in the water the waves stopped breaking on the outside bar.  Not sure if it was the tide or swell, but the wind also picked up making it the perfect time to end the session.
